At Retro Rat, we specialize in unique and collectible toys, and we want every customer to feel confident when shopping with us. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and related concerns are handled for orders placed on our website.


1. 30-Day Return Period

We offer a 30-day return window starting from the date your order is delivered. Requests made after this period may not be approved.


2. Conditions for Returns

To qualify for a return, items must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Unused and in the same condition as received
  • Returned in original packaging with all included parts
  • Free from damage caused after delivery
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)

Items that are not eligible for return include:

  • Final sale or clearance products
  • Opened collectible toys where the original seal is broken
  • Items altered, assembled, or damaged by misuse

3. Starting a Return

To request a return, please contact our support team:

Include your order number and a brief explanation of the reason for the return. If approved, we will provide step-by-step return instructions.

Important: Returns sent without prior authorization may be declined.


4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, notify us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include photos of the issue so we can review it quickly. If confirmed, we will:

  • Send a replacement at no cost, or
  • Issue a full refund, including any applicable shipping fees

5. Refund Processing

After we receive and inspect your returned item:

  • Approved refunds are issued within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method
  • Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.


6. Return Shipping Responsibility

  • If the return is due to damage, defect, or incorrect shipment, we cover return shipping
  • For all other returns (e.g., change of mind), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs

We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we are not responsible for lost return shipments.


7. Exchanges

We currently offer exchanges only for items that are defective or damaged. For all other cases, we recommend placing a new order after completing a return.


8. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may be canceled within 12 hours of purchase. After this timeframe, orders may already be processed and cannot be modified or canceled.


9. Order Processing & Cut-Off Time

  • Order cut-off time: 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
  • Orders placed after this time are processed the next business day
  • Standard processing time: 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday)

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund has not appeared:

  • Check your bank or payment account
  • Contact your card provider, as posting times vary
  • If needed, reach out to us for assistance
